Kenyan Fashion Brands I’ve Discovered & Loved 🇰🇪
IKOJN
One of the Kenyan fashion brands I’ve recently discovered and absolutely fallen in love with is Ikojn. The brand is all about contemporary women’s wear, with pieces that feel effortlessly chic, feminine and easy to incorporate into an everyday wardrobe. What I particularly love about Ikojn is how it manages to make statement pieces feel wearable — from dresses and tailored trousers to knitwear, denim and accessories.
Ikojn describes itself as a 100% Made-in-Kenya women’s wear brand, created by women in Kenya, and its collections offer plenty of versatility for someone looking to build a stylish wardrobe without everything feeling overly formal. Current pieces include dresses around KSh 4,499–6,500, trousers around KSh 4,499–5,499, knitwear from approximately KSh 2,500–5,000, and accessories such as belts from around KSh 1,500. (Ikojn)
Price range: Approximately KSh 1,500–11,000+, depending on the item. (Ikojn)
For me, Ikojn is the perfect brand for elevated everyday dressing — the kind of clothing that makes you look put-together without looking like you tried too hard.

KATUSH
Katush, founded by Kenyan designer Katungulu Mwendwa, is another brand that immediately caught my attention. Established in 2014, the Nairobi-based label is known for its modern, trans-seasonal and largely unisex designs, combining contemporary silhouettes with African cultural influences and craftsmanship. What makes Katush particularly interesting to me is its approach to African fashion. Rather than relying on predictable interpretations of African style, the brand explores identity, heritage, texture and craftsmanship through minimalist and often androgynous silhouettes. Sustainability is also an important part of its philosophy, with the designer working with local artisans and using materials and production methods connected to the African continent. Katush sits at a more luxury/designer price point. Current pieces featured through The Kenya Edit include shirts at around US$235 (approximately KSh 30,000), dresses around US$305 (approximately KSh 39,000), trousers around US$430 (approximately KSh 56,000) and statement jackets reaching approximately US$513 (about KSh 67,000). (Zoho)
Price range: Approximately KSh 30,000–70,000+ for many ready-to-wear pieces, with accessories and special pieces varying considerably. (Zoho)
Katush is definitely one for the fashion lover who appreciates design, craftsmanship and clothing with a story. It’s a reminder that Kenyan fashion can be both deeply rooted in African identity and completely contemporary.

That is all for now. If have a Kenyan brand I should know of please comment below. Bye!1
